Two best friends build a time machine in a garage. One of them is dying. The other goes to save him, and lands seventy-four years too far.
About the series
THE TIME TAPES is an independent found-footage horror series told entirely through recovered video: the tapes one friend records at home, and the transmissions the other sends back from the year 2100.
Season one is nineteen episodes, running twenty to thirty minutes each, shot on a combination of digital and period-accurate analog camcorders. The series is written, directed, and self-financed by Matthew Parsons, and is currently in pre-production.
Production
Now casting: two lead roles
Eli, 20s
The one who builds the machine, and the one who gets stranded. Dialogue-heavy, largely solo on camera.
Sam, 20s
The one left behind, who records and posts every tape. Restrained, naturalistic, emotionally exacting.
Both roles are paid at a daily rate. Meals, copy and credit provided. Casting is being handled through Backstage; sides are provided with the submission request.
